Promoting Tree planting in communities

We value tree planting since one cannot separate bees from trees. The two are inseparable. The planting of trees supports our afforestation programs that addresses issues related to land restoration, bee habitat establishment, bee nectar sources, conservation, human nutrition from fruits and seed and human health. The trees that are chosen are those that give communities multiple benefits.

Working For Bees Projects

Some o the projects done since the inception of our organisation

Hi my name is Ms Margret Muchingami 52 yrs old resides in Headlands /Yorkshire 10 in Makoni district in the province of Manicaland Zimbabwe. I started bee keeping in 2021. I liked this project of bee keeping because to me it’s just like natural because one can even start making hives with readily available materials eg grass, log, bark among others. I started with a 20l plastic bucket in the first year. With the encouragement I got from Doctor Mutisi my facilitator, I managed to go through bee keeping training from phase 1 to 3. In the second year, 2022 I managed to add up my hives to four, a bark hive, clay hive, basket hive and a 100 litter drum. All of a sudden the clay and bark got colonized. In Dec 2023 I made a grass basket hive which was really nice. Bees did not take long to colonize the hive. At the moment I have a total of 5 hives, three with bees and 2 waiting to be colonized. I have got a peace of land which I have planted trees and I always encourage people in my village to keep our environment out of fire and not enjoy tree funerals. I also encourage other women to join bee keeping business because if you get bees you have money. I am able to make candles, body cream, floor and shoe polish. I say hey women out there! come and let us reason together, with bees we go far.
